We got this new car thing. It’s like a convertible, except it drives over the water. It doesn’t have any windows, but instead the whole thing is open. It doesn’t ride as smooth as our other cars. It goes up and down and up and down.

I get to smell so many different smells, and see so many new places. I hope I can visit all of the places I see in the car. I like it when we go fast. It is awesome.

Dad hasn’t let me drive yet. I do get to sit next to him though, so it’s practically like I’m driving.

My favorite place to sit is on the very front. I like to look over the edge and see the water. Mom sits next to me in the front, which is ok, just in case we hit bumps on the water. Ruby seems to like it. Except when we are on a long ride, she usually gets tired and goes to sleep. She does that in the regular car too.

One time we got to get out at a beach and run around. Another time it was really cold. I don’t like the water car when it’s cold.

We keep our new car somewhere else. We have to go for a ride to get there, so it’s double fun. When we get out of the car, mom puts on our new special coats. I like my new coat. Then we walk down this skinny ramp to a wood path over the water, and that’s where our car is parked. Mom gets all crazy when we are there. She is constantly telling me to sit down, and stay with her. I don’t know what her problem is. I just want to meet the neighbors and check out their water cars.

Mom keeps telling me that I’m a boat dog now. What is a boat? I am going to get to the bottom of it this week. Maybe you can come for a water car ride with us, or at least tell me what a boat is.
