Hi. I’m Ruby.
It has been really hot at our house this week. I love sitting in the sun, but a few times it was too hot to do anything. Yesterday mom kept telling me we were going to the beach. I was excited, but not really sure what she was talking about. Then she put all of our stuff in the car, and I knew we were going on a ride, so I was very excited. My brother, Clyde, was WAY more excited than me. He practically knocked me down jumping around the car, from window to window. I think he made mom mad, because she yelled at him. She didn’t yell at me though. I’m a good girl in mom’s car. I sit still.
Then we got to this awesome place. I guess it was the beach. There was so much stuff to smell and explore. We have been to places like this before, but never this beach.
It was the most fun day ever.
Mom played stick with me for hours. I swam really deep in the ocean. That is a big deal for me because I am afraid of swimming. It is getting less scary though. Clyde tried to get the stick from me a few times, but he mostly just chewed on his bone and explored the beach alone. He usually likes to swim, but he must not have felt like it. Sometimes he is a loner, which is fine because I get mom all to myself! A friend of mom’s came and brought her human puppy’s. They smell weird. They threw the stick for me a few times and that was really nice of them, especially since they are so small. Next time mom asks if I want to go to the beach, I am going to be so00 ready. Maybe you can come too, and swim in the water with me?
I am tired just thinking about all that swimming. I’m going to go take a nap. Hope to talk to you again soon.
