A Beautiful Barn Wedding

To observe true love is a very profound thing.

The primary reason for my visit home to California was to attend the wedding of a friend I have had since grade school.

Their wedding was small and perfect. Held at dusk on a late summer Saturday at the Bayley Barn in Pilot Hill.  It was simple, and elegant. Who doesn’t love a wedding out in the country at a beautiful barn anyway? We grew up in the country and this wedding was the perfect homage to roots, both bride and groom share. Hay bales served as seating, and personalized beer cozies were our take-home mementos. We danced and shared stories, and laughed until the wee hours of the morning.

While miles have separated us for most of our adult life, there is something unspoken that remains when you maintain friends that have known you, since before you were the ‘you’ that you are today. It’s like a silent strength, a bond, a knowing… a sisterhood.  As I get older, I am in awe by how much more amazing the women I grew up with get every year. These ladies are beautiful and fabulous, wise and strong, and are all such great moms.

Miss Rychelle is possibly one of the strongest women I have ever known, and she has found the man that will stand by her side, and allow her to be stronger. There are no words to describe how happy I am for this newlywed couple.
