This weeks self portrait was not planned. However, last week on one of our very last voyages of the year, I felt compelled to capture the feeling I had in that moment. A feeling of freedom, wide open literally with a sea of possibilities, laced with a feeling of sadness. It was cold, the water dead calm, and the sun that perfect shade of pale pink and orange sherbet. I will not be seeing the sunset from this vantage until the winter season has passed. The glorious summer days that lasted through October have spoiled me…and I can’t wait until to meet them again.
