The days are quick becoming short, and our boating season is coming to an end. October thus far has provided us with amazing weather, reminiscent of December in Los Angeles. Mild days and cool evenings. It has made the transition from summer much easier. Along with the beautiful foliage, the fall brings a change in direction of the winds and waters of Casco Bay. They are much calmer, and though we now need extra layers for comfort, it is a divine time to be on the water.

We are cramming every second we can in to the last of this season, bringing friends, family and furbabies along for the ride. We were even lucky enough to head to Dolphin Marina for a beer one night only to find it closed. Erica’s Seafood, however was open, and only for another week I might add. Erica’s is small lobster shack, that is know to have some of the best food around. They also sell lobsters, clams and other local seafood to take home. It is worh a drive out there anytime during the season, but it is always more fun to travel by boat. It is also pretty epic to eat a crab roll while riding home on a boat during sunset. And I don’t even usually like the word epic. But it was.

How are you enjoying the seasons changing? It is personally something I appreciate to the fullest now. Each and every season delivers something so wonderful and unique.
